Does Bullying Cause School Shootings

Did you know that bullying is usually the cause of school shootings? According to Dean Myers bullying can be stopped and it can decrease the chances of school shootings. Yes I do agree with Myers that if kids and adults learn more about bullying and the effects, then bullying can be stopped or it will be more rare. The article "The Real Problem" by, Amy Brennan clearly stated that, "Myers believes that whole communities have to be proactive and work together to stop bullying." If communities have a little lesson every night or so about bullying then kids can learn about the causes and effects of bullying and it may help stop bullying. If schools have policies about bullying and that bullies cannot bully any more or else they will get in big trouble, this can help make bullying go down. Kids will stop bullying because even though they can be mean to other kids, you would think that they would not want their school to get shot at. Kids like feeling safe at school and if kids are bullying other kids and the bullying is causing or effecting the kids that are being bullied to go and shoot schools then kids will not feel safe at school anymore. The kids who are being bullied, they do not feel safe any more and sometimes they need to feel safe at school. Kids need to be safe at school because sometimes school is their only safe place, but if there are school shootings caused by bullying then those kids are not going to want to go to school
