The effects bias and stereotyping have on self-esteem is slowing down the devolvement process and low self-esteem. Bias and stereotype also effects one life long after the event. I do not believe that children in target groups for bias automatically have low self-esteem. I do not believe this because the area a person grows up in does not determine if they are going to have low self-esteem.
