Age difference has a whole new meaning for the western world in the XXI century, this is because roles have also changed between men and women. When it comes to relationships, it’s more usual to see an older man with a younger woman, but what if their ages where switched? Now seeing older women with younger men is becoming a trend, we see it a lot with famous people. Does age difference does matter in a relationship? If were talking about a long-term relationship and not just a fling, yes it does. Why does it matter? The younger person might be just starting their life as adults. They might be just gotten out of school and started College or University, or chosen to work to save up money for their own place. This changes affect their overall schedules, younger person might not have enough time to really get in deep with the relationship. On the other hand, the older person’s life might be fulfilled already, they maybe have been married before, had children, and have their own place. There is often what has come to be known generational difference. Issues such as how to view and understand sexuality, work, how to interpret society, fashions, tastes, can be very different from one generation to another, either by seeing the world in a very personal way or private, they can be seen and experienced in a very similar way by two people of different ages.
