Thank you for your presentation regarding the Triage Consulting Group yesterday at USC. Again, I want to reaffirm my interest in the Associate position at the firm. Throughout my college career I have always wanted to take part in an organization where I am able to balance my knowledge of society, my passion for working with people, and interest in healthcare. It’s been rather surprising that an organization like the Triage Consulting Group to come along, and it’s an amazing opportunity to put my professional and personal skills to great use and further develop my interest in all aspects of healthcare. As I mentioned during the career fair, I have a diverse background in public service, community outreach, management and communications.…
There have been multiple times when someone has shared a special accomplishment or achievement with me. One significant example of a time that someone has shared a special accomplishment with me was when the varsity girls cross country team was Northern Tier League champions. This accomplishment was shared with everyone that was on the varsity girls cross country team. This was a special accomplishment for everyone.…
In seventh grade, one of my teachers decided to sponsor the county technology competition, in the form of a club. Anyone who wished to join could. I also convinced two of my friends to join, forming a team of three. After some debate and discussion, we decided to enter into the robotics category, and set to work. However, a number of mistakes caused me, and the whole team, to fail our objective.…
Every single person in the world will end up having to deal with problems and challenges in their life, whether it be mental, physical, as a group, or as an individual. People genuinely have two options when it comes to dealing with problems. They can stand up and do everything they can to figure them out, or they can sit back and let the problem takeover. One of the hardest problems to face is in a group setting because in order to fix the problem it requires someone to step up and be a true leader. Once the problem is solved, however the feeling of accomplishment is astonishing.…
In High School I was given the task along with a select group of students, to be curators for a Holocaust museum presented by the 10th-grade class. It was a large undertaking put upon a small group of 10th graders but we felt confident. Our grade depended on the performance and outcome of the event as a whole. Leading up to the event things seemed to go smoothly and well organized but it was later known that many of the selected curators would not have been able to attend the event. Out of the 10 chosen only 5 were able to attended and it was definitely a setback.…
Interact Club is an organization that I am proud to be a part of. As co-president, I get the opportunity to choose various service projects such as Feed the Hungry, Salvation Army, and Special Olympics. Volunteering with Feed the Hungry was one of the most pleasant experiences I’ve had as it allowed me to make a direct impact on the community-Ethiopia. We were given the opportunity to pack food that would be shipped off to the malnourished there. As a team, the other members and I packed over a thousand bags of food.…
I have taken my interest in sport further by continuing to play tennis on a weekly basis. I volunteered to raise money for a charity called Habitat for Humanity that builds houses for the homeless in other countries. Within a school chemistry competition, I was part of a team to gain first place for producing the purest sample of aspirin. I have also represented my school as an ambassador, helping to promote the school’s science department for which I have grown fond of as science fascinates me. I won the bronze award in maths and competed against other schools in the country helping to develop my numerical skills.…

What role do you typically play in (*a) group? When I am in a group setting, without a doubt I take on a mediator and leadership role. For example, when I mentored and tutored 5th graders, I had to not only be the authority figure, but I was responsible for listening to their problems and concerns and providing them with the best resolution. Being a mediator allows me to be a silent leader for the reason that I can lead people while they feel like they are a leader as well.…
The most challenging task I have ever taken on was the completion of my schools 2013-2014 yearbook. At the time, I was a grade 10 student, my second year on the yearbook committee. The previous year I was introduced to the project and responsibilities, however the majority of the project was headed by the editor. The subsequent year, the editor, a grade 12 student, did not follow through with her commitment. Our progress in the yearbook was suffering extreme setbacks, and our advisor was questioning if we would successfully complete the yearbook.…
Everyone, at some point in life, has had that one moment where it brought them that sense of accomplishment. It makes you feel good and like you’re on top of the world. Nothing can bring you down. No matter how hard someone might try to rain on your parade, but it just won’t work. Sometimes it comes when you win an award or simply make someone’s day even better.…
I had never had much responsibly thrown my way, I was typically the one in group projects who took the back seat, who just did what others told me to do, But at the beginning of my junior year my whole school was about to embark on a service trip, I was going to treat it like I had the year before, let my fellow students take the lead and I’ll just help out. I ended up taking the lead of my group and for the first time learning about what it means to be a leader. Before the trip there was a lot of preparation, we where going to visit and teach at a school 2 hours away in Shanghai. Our large group split into 4 teams, I was in Art group. Our goal was to help the kids learn English through art.…
Before reflecting on my performance, I would like to momentarily describe those critical events and summarize the overall situation. Being that I never liked to work in groups, because I feel that I’m very independent. My past group projects didn’t go so well because it’s always that one that don’t want to work. There were lots of problems that happened within our team because of lack of communication. I wasn’t sure what I can do about it, the understanding and planning just wasn’t there, especially about the media log task.…
