Doctrine of respondeat superior is a doctrine that makes an employer responsible for the tortious actions of employees during the course of their employment. An example of a doctrine of respondeat superior could be a school bus driver hitting someone while driving the route. The school district would be responsible for the incident.
Agents and employees are slightly different agents are employees of a company that is hired by a principal. Asians are allowed to purchase goods and create binding contracts. Employees also work for the principal but they have no authority.
Agents duties to a principal are loyalty, obedience, performance and accounting.
Principals are liable for any misconduct by agents. They are also liable for any contracts entered
