The setting of this performance was the conductor in the center with the trumpets, trombones, and saxophones on the outer left and right of the conductor. The piano was in the front to the left of the conductor as well as a guitar. There were drums to the right of the conductor and the singers were in the center toward the back. The style of the band was an orchestra setup with a jazz sound to the music. The conductor encourage the audience to repeat words he was saying. At some points the audience were clapping and rising their hands in a passionate way. The performance feature Doctor Cornel West, who is a political activist, philosopher, and author, among other things. His message was powerful and adding the orchestra added more power
