Do You Think We Should Teach Cursive

Do you think we should teach cursive, or do you think we shouldn't? Well I think yes, we should teach cursive because, hand writing can boost a child's brain. Also we need to learn how to write in cursive because we don't want people to forge our signature. And finally there's apps that make learning how to write in cursive fun. Hand writing boosts the brain, its true. With more than 50% of college students reporting that handwriting allows your brain to receive signals faster therefore boosting your brain power. Studies show that the students in college that wrote longhand were found to do much better than their peers that wrote in cursive. Two different experiments suggest that students taking notes with a pen and paper rather than a laptop, leads to higher quality learning. Well a national survey of over 612 elementary schools found that 41 percent don't even teach cursive, or even mention it in their curriculum. In fact a man actually wrote an article stating my point of view titled Let Cursive Handwriting die. So, given these reality's, teachers would actually be better off focusing on the skills and knowledge that would better impact their students' life in the future. In fact cursive is already dying, despite having been taught for decades. Very small proportions of adults use cursive in their day-to-day writing. So throughout this paper I think that we should teach cursive because of all the things that cursive can do for us.
