In my opinion, I agree with Seymour Martin Lipset, author of “Still the Exceptional Nation?”, that America is exceptional as it is “the world’s sole superpower.” (403) As Lipset mentioned, America is set apart from developed European nations for many reasons as America has exceeded the standards of greatness.
