My heart was pounding out of my chest. That man did not deserve to die. I don’t know what I was thinking, I was just caught up in the moment. I had too many drinks that night and it was a complete accident, but because of my silly mistakes, a man is dead. I haven’t been caught, but a good friend of mine has been framed and it’s all my fault. Can I live with the guilt? Or will the guilt eat me alive?

It was a cold November morning, and the marking of 1 month since Cole Thomas was shot and killed at a Halloween party. Trevor lye in his bed not wanting to get up and deal with everyone mourning over Cole. Trevor knew that he had killed Cole. Instead of him going to jail, his old babysitter, who he is very close to, went to jail.

Police showed up to the crime scene almost every day looking for evidence. Trevor often thought about turning himself in. The guilt was taking over his body. He just never had the nerve to turn himself in. Trevor didn’t want to go to jail, ruin his life, and ruin his future career. He just couldn’t live with Rhonda in jail for his actions.

Back at the crime scene, the police found a track leading from the crime scene and into the woods. The track was made from a pair of sneakers. Police followed the tracks and ended up at a dorm building. Police wondered why someone would run all the way through the woods to get home rather than using the sidewalks. They went to almost every dorm and asked questions. Nobody knew anything except one person. Amy Anderson lived down the hall from Trevor and hated his guts. She rated him out to the police and told them that she saw him sprinting home that night.

Trevor heard a knock at his door. He opened it to find three cops. One cop started saying “Trev-““It was me! I killed Thomas Cole!” said Trevor. Trevor was arrested and taken to jail. Trevor hoped Rhonda didn’t hate him. He soon got a letter from Rhonda that
