Do We Believe In The Crucible

Just because people believed in the mythological creatures doesn't make them real, or true. When mass amounts of people believe in something it doesn't make it true, people just agree with one another, so they don't look different, or dumb. Honestly who wants to be an outcast and be different. Even if you know something isn't true, or right people still go along with it to fit in. There are examples of this everywhere. When people started to call Hillary “Crooked” and thought she was a criminal made no sense. For one there was nothing on her emails and lets be honest what politician hasn't done anything wrong before? Lets keep it real republicans are dumb and believe in whatever Fox News say, even when most of their news is biased, and wrong. The only reason for her defeat was because many people believed in that and voted for the true …show more content…
Today billions of people believe in a God. They also believe in a God in The Crucible. The downside of religion is it divides us. We have war over it, and it holds us back in knowledge. People who think there's an afterlife, so they don't try to do unthinkable things and make the most of their life. In The Crucible most people believe in witches. We today know witches don't exist, but back in the 1600’s many people believed in them. This was because of the Salem, Witch Trials of 1962. The trials resulted in the executions of twenty people, fourteen of them women, and all but one by hanging. People who don't know much live in fear. At the end of the day a thing is not true simply because a large number of people believe in it. We see the downside of it when people follow blindly. It results in death, lies, stupidity, and everything else. We need to open our eyes and research something before believing in it. I'm not saying we need to not believe anyone besides yourself, but if something seems to outer portion then do some research before telling others. Keep it 100 till next

The Crucible, a play written by Arthur Miller, was inspired by the McCarthy hearings in 1950 and also the Salem Witch Trials during 1692. The play starts off with the discovery of several young girls and a slave dancing in the woods attempting to conjure spirits of the dead. Rather than suffer severe punishment for their actions, the girls accuse the other inhabitants of the town, Salem, for practicing witchcraft, which is ironic because the girls got out of being punished by accusing others of the crime they were guilty of. As a result, this caused the citizens of Salem to go in a mass state of paranoia and fear in the atmosphere where everyone in Salem could be a potential witch, which caused the number of arrests to increase and the community losing their trust in one another. By the end of 1692, the Salem Court convicted and…
