The Journal of American Medical Association came to the conclusion that Mature-rated video games did have a link with violent teen behavior (ProCon). This shows that a medical association believes that video games do affect the violence and the aggression of teens who play violent video games. Not one thing can make people more violent or aggressive because many things add up to make someone more aggressive, but video game violence is one of those things (American Psychological Association). Like it was stated earlier video games could possibly increase teen aggression combined with other factor, but this time the APA is trying to press the result of video games affecting teen violence. The APA happens to believe that video games definitely are one of those things to increase teen aggression. Rowell Huesman a researcher from the PBS news website stated, “The important thing is repetition. I think any child can play Grand Theft Auto or a first-person shooter a few times, and it’s not going to have much effect. But if they play day in and day out, over a period of years, any psychologist who understands the power of observational learning is going to find it hard to believe that it’s not going to have a major effect on increasing risk” (Rowell Huesman, PBS). Some studies will believe that that there is not enough evidence to say if video games actually do increase teen aggression. A few studies believe that teens see many types of violence everyday, so violent video games couldn't possibly affect them. At the same time some believe that there are many ways that video games are increasing teen violence. The question will always be open about if video games do or do not increase teen violence, and there will have to be a lot more studies to find out the real
