Do Kids get too Much Homework?

Students go home with backpacks so full and heavy it's like They’re training for the olympics, They go home because they've been up all day learning with just a short break for lunch. Hoping to rest when they get home for their only free time over the week, only to have so much work they're drowning in it. Depriving them for their much needed sleep and rest for them to be energized for the next day.

And they recommend something called the ten minute rule, stating that there should be ten minutes per grade level so 10 minutes for grade 1 20 for grade too 30 for grade three and 120 for grade 12. And according to a study by the same article off more than 1,100 english and spanish speaking children, kindergarteners go home with more than 25 minutes off after school activities. Off course it is understandable that they would try to prepare these kids for homework but not more mabey 5 minutes. Mabey teachers should be coordinating with each other too have a total off the recommended amount of homework per
