It is fair to recognize that Americans have a tradition of gun ownership. They use weapons for hunting, for sportsmanship, and for protecting their families, but there are also the tragic mass shooting incidents and violence on the streets that are the result of illegal gun usage. For increasing public safety, the law of owning and bearing arms should be subject to several changes. The government must have reasonable, thoughtful gun control measures that will respect the Second Amendment and people’s tradition, but at the same time it will guarantee more public …show more content…
