Do Guns And Violence: Why Do People Kill People?

“I believe the gun has no power because a gun can only kill but a pen can give life.” -Malala Yousafzai. If a person killed someone they would be dead with no hope, but if you are not dead but very low in life you could read an encouraging book or article and feel better about yourself and your situation.

One example where the pen showed power over violence was the Comet Ping Pong incident when some false claims came out and said that Hillary Clinton was going to use children as slaves. When one man in North Carolina heard about this he was enraged so he went down to Washington D.C. to investigate. Later he went to the Comet Ping Pong Restaurant with an assault rifle fired one or more shots, later he surrendered to police, luckily no one was injured. This shows that if someone sees something in the news that they don't like then they might take action like hurting or killing people.

Another example would be a book like Moby Dick which was published in 1851 still getting readers though it is many decades old. While aAlthough violence can leave a long term result but once the person affected dies there is now showing result but books can outlive the authors. For example, William Shakespeare's Hamlet which was published around 1600 and people are still enjoying it today.

The sword affects the pen also like if someone goes out and shoots a person the media will most likely cover that story. But I feel like the pen has a longer lasting and more influential effect on people and
