Curfews does having one really lead to keeping teenagers out of trouble? Many would say yes parents giving there kids a curfew will keep them safe they will be at home. If the parents fall asleep what is stopping them from sneaking out absolutely nothing. But it is not the parents it's a law and they can't sneak out where would they go all the stores will know of the law. In Montgomery, Alabama they have this rule expect teens can be out past it if they are with a parent are guardian. Some kids will say my practice runs late it's not fair. Well I don't know what sport you are playing but, most practices end around 8 or 9 giving you enough time to get home. Another excuse that might come up is "Well i have too much homework it won't work

Plus you have school the next day why would you need to be out later then 10 o'clock. If they have there license they already have a curfew of 12 to 4 where they cant drive alone so if them being home 2 hours earlier a problem they need to get a grip on life. Jobs, yes that is a big concern you may have to work late hours but in reality most stores close at 9. If your boss knows about the curfew they are likely to not make you work so long to get you in trouble with the law. Babysitting is a job that comes into question too. Those parents won't be out late all the time most get off of work around 7 or 8 p.m.. It shouldn't be a problem but what if they decide it is date night they might not be home till late. Well all that needs to be done is that those parents sign a paper saying why this teen is out so late and there shouldn't be anything wrong. The last reason that the curfew should be implemented is teens have time after school gets out to do what they want to do. There isn't any excuse to go against that they get out around two or three o'clock if they have to stay after school maybe it's until five depending on what they have to do.
