Do CellPhones Affect The Brain?

There has been rumors going on saying that phones are dangerous but are they really dangerous, I think phones are not dangerous because it was not proven yet that phones have an harmful effect on people. A researcher named nora volkow , a brain researcher what’s to know whether phones have an effect on people or does not have an effect on people because there has been new studies showing how cell phones can affect the metabolism of the brain cells. There was another study saying that phones can have an effect on human skin and other parts of the body also do know that phones are said to cues most of the car accidents by being a discussion to the driver.

One reason why i think cell phones are not dangerous is because Nora Volkow (a researcher of the brain) did a test to see if phones have an effect on the brain. The first thing nora did with some other researchers is put a cell phone to someone's ear and then one on the other ear to see if the electromagnetic energy being released by the cell phone is affecting the metabolism of the brain. The researchers used PET scanner to measure how much glucose was being consumed by the brain cells. The researchers said that overall only 6 to 8 percent of the brain was affected but only areas where the brain was closed to the antenna was affected. Nora the researcher in charge of the test and she said “Based on this finding i cannot say”.

In the article, Your Phone Could Ruin Your Life, by Kristen Lewis it says, “digital distraction can be harmful, both mentally and physically”(Lewis 9). I think this means that young people are spending too much time on electronics both day and night. I can support this because it says that “80% of teenagers sleep with their phones nearby”(Lewis 7),and also, “your phone screen gives off a kind of light that tells your brain to stay awake”(Lewis 9). Another thing that supports this is that when you sleep with your phone under your pillow the radiation can cause cancer.…
