Do Apples Fall Far From The Tree Research Paper

For our senior sociology project, we decided to question the theory of “Do apples fall far from the tree?” This question outlines the study of heredity and personality traits. We wondered if children inherited personality traits from their parents. We chose this topic because all three of us are interested in genetics, heredity, and psychology. We also had differing opinions on the subject. We decided to research the theory by an online survey and then personal interviews of people non-related to ourselves.We received a broad spectrum of survey answers from different genders and age groups. Our survey consisted of questions that revealed the interview taker’s personality and their parents personalities. Our ages varied we had the ages 17, 18, 31, 34, and 62. All of our surveys were more close to their mothers. Two out of the five were extroverted and the other three were introverted. Four out of the five had siblings. Four out of the five have a strong relationship with their parents. One of the surveys parents were extroverted, two of the surveys parents were introverted, and two of the parents were mixed with introverted and extroverted.Two of the surveys found that their conflicts with their parents values, one was somewhat, and two said no. Two of the surveys do not do activities with their parents, and three of them said they do. Three surveys said they do not act like their parents and two of them said they do. Three of the surveys said they have the same values as their parents and two do not. Three of the surveys do have the same political views as their parents and two do not. All five answered that they have the same temperaments as their
