1985 Royals
The Royals have just won the 2015 World Series, but that's not the only time in history we have won the World Series. 30 years ago the 1985 Royals Roster Conquered the MLB. Lets just say we never gave up and it payed off in the end. The Royals in 1985 were having a great season when they won the American League Championship, and after lots of hard losses, The Royals Roster helped them take the crown and conquer the MLB in 1985 because They had never given up and fought till the very end
Right now in the MLB we have something called a wild card game, when I first heard this I had no idea what it actually meant and it made sense after a while because it actually means the teams in both leagues that have the 4th and 5th best record, it gives the 5th ranked team a chance because they were so close to the top 4, but back in 1985 Wild Card games weren’t even thought of yet. Louis Cardinals, but sadly it wasn’t a very good start because we had lost the first two games in Kansas City but won only one of the two games played in St. Louis . So we are down 3-1 in the series again, The Royals had to play with all the fight they had left in them. The Royals had to battle back to keep up a fight if they wanted to win the World Series Championship. Yet again Bret Saberhagen pitched game five which is a victory for the royals as they came back to Kansas city.
