This book made me realize that in the future I will need to make tough decisions in my life. I will need to be mature enough and wise enough in order to make the best decisions for myself, similar to how Amani had to evaluate the situation to make the best decision for herself during a difficult time.
This book made me decide that I won’t take the easy way out. I will do what’s right even though it might be hard, just like Amani did when she chose to stay with Jin because she knew it was the right thing to do even though she knows she will most likely die.
This book made me wonder about the people in the Middle East who live in similar conditions to the people of Miraji. It’s sad to think that there is place like Miraji in the real world where beatings are expected, women are viewed as inferior, women are expected to be ashamed for being born a girl, and where women have no rights. This book made me believe that you can do anything you set your mind to. You can accomplish anything if you believe in yourself and you put the time and effort into your goal. Amani set her mind to free the Camel’s Knees and she accomplished her goal with hard work and a little bit of
