Since his main purpose of coming to America was school, it boosted his motivation to do well by a great amount compared to mine. Even though I was able to get by in a lot of my courses, there were a few exams where I would not put in as much effort or a couple projects I would slack on. This difference between immigrants and those born in America is a wary area though because not all students are built the same way. I think the fact of whether a student is an immigrant or not is important, but there are several other factors that can push them in a certain direction as well. Fahad is a ninth grade student and he is suffering from traumatic brain injury. In the early childhood, brain injury has sufficient effects on the long term memory, abstract reasoning and his ability to self-monitor his owns tasks and behaviors. Once upon a time, in the year 2013, on the island of Oahu, there was a student who was going to start the beginning of 7th grade in Waipahu Intermediate School. That student was a boy named Jarren Calizo. I believe that I am an excellent candidate for the Early College program. For me, school is a top priority, and I always strive to be my best. Good morning, I am writing you today because I am concerned about my final grade. I was looking at my grade on blackboard, and my participation grade is 10 out of 10 points; instead of 20 out of 20 points; based on what the syllabus reads. Professor Montiel had a clear grading criteria and provided good feedbacks for important assignments. However, he should probably consider paying more attention to fairness in grading in the future, as it is often associated with students' motivation and enthusiasm for the class. Writing is incredibly important for any student in college because it's the basis of your work. Therefore having a writing tutor is a huge privilege. The expectations I have about going to a writing tutor is that he or she will help me come up with ideas for my writing assignments, as well as for the drafting and revising aspects of it. He or she will also find flaws in my writing assignments and give me input in order to become a better writer. I envision my writing session as me sitting with my writing tutor going over the instructions for a writing assignment if I have not started yet, or revising my paper if I'm close to finishing it.…
