After reading ‘’My Father’s House’’ by Jarrett Jackson, I instantly thought of a book I had read on Wattpad. In the book that I had read, the characters faced similar conflicts, although the situations were different. I can’t say I fully understand the situation of having two parents divorce because I had never been in that predicament. I can say that I understand how it feels to have parents who aren’t together and how it feels to grow up with your father having another family. I can relate to how the boy felt in the short story because I also had to accept changes that has occurred in my own personal life. However, I don’t agree with everything the character believed.
