Due to the emotional strain that divorce can have on children many of them develop trust issues. They have a hard time building lasting relationships. When one parent becomes absent a child may be more prone to put barriers up to protect themselves from feeling the hurt they felt from having an absent parent.
Lastly most people view marriage as a public way to show your affection and lifelong commitment for a person but for a person that grew up with divorced parents they may view it differently. For example, many people see marriage as just a financial agreement; a way to secure their future. Others see it as a rite of passage because once you reach a certain age society expects you to be married and settled down. So people are marrying for the wrong reasons and not its intestinal purpose. Those are primary examples of why our countries divorce rates are so high now. All together these are primary ways to show how divorce is affecting the children of today’s society. The only solution to fixing this demographic is to learn from others mistakes or our own personal experiences and makes sure that we as future parents don’t put our own children in the same uncompromising
