“Tandy” refers to a young girl named Tandy Hard, and it explains how she needs to keep her standards and expectations high as she grows older. In today’s society women still work to keep their standards high, at a young age many girls watch movies about princess that push for them to wait for their “Prince Charming”. In some cases it is difficult for women to stay “Tandy”, like in the case of Alice Hinderman, because the loneliness is so overwhelming that women feel that they have no other choice but to lower their expectations.
