Diversity: My Eleventh Year At Jackson State University

Diversity, what does it mean? As I go into my eleventh year at Jackson State University, I will observe the campus from a different perspective. For two days, I will view the campus from through a diverse set of lenses. These lenses will allow me to observe what diversity would look like if it had a face. Being on a college campus is the perfect setting to observe exactly what diversity looks like. There are people from various countries, social economic backgrounds, class, gender, profession, and sexual-orientation. According to Webster, diversity entails the quality or state of having many different forms, types, and ideas about something. It also states that being different involves not of the same kind, partly, or totally unlike.
