Diversity Interview

There Once Was a Time There once was a time in my life in which everything was put into perspective. My mother had been taken to the hospital multiple times whether it’d be for cramps or for stomach sicknesses. She is the most hardworking person I know in my life. She grew up without anything. Her dad had left the family for another when she just turned thirteen, she already had a job at age twelve, and she took two buses to get to school every day. She had to work hard for everything. She inspires me every day to push myself each day to do better. I have gotten awards from time to time ever since I was young, I don’t recall a time in which I didn’t receive something for the effort I put into everything. I have participated in many leadership events, not only to become someone youngsters can look up to, but also because I want to become more sociable or memorable in people’s lives. I can imply many new things such as I did for one of the clubs, Unity Herd. In this club, we created Diversity Expo, in which we expand the knowledge of others about culture appreciation. I can adjust to any challenge given to me such as the Multicultural Assembly. The Multicultural Assembly is a huge deal as it is not like other rallies. The entire school watches the rally. I was the stage manager and a performer in two sections of the show. I needed to make sure that everyone had their music, choreography or act ready before rehearsal. I also had to make sure that what ever they wear was school appropriate, even if the outfit was from the original part of that culture. I still sure things were still happening even if I couldn’t be at a certain time and place for illness reasons.
