Diversity In The United States

Decent Essays
My project is about diversity in The United States and how we are the melting pot of the world. The United States is a very diverse county we are made of immigrants and foreigners. There are people of all color in every walks of life from CEO to poverty. We try to make everyone equal but some people are berated with stereotypes and myths.
The flame at the bottom of the pot represents the flame in our country. The flame is bright and everlasting. The flame keep our country up and thriving. I think that having different cultures is great thing because it introduces us to new ideas and whys of thinking. They keep us open minded.
If we didn’t have tolerance and equality in our country it will fall apart. People will create regions of their cultures

History plays one of the most prominent roles in shaping our lives today. Studying the behavior of the elderly, is key in influencing our behavior on a daily basis. The youth fail to behold of the privileges that are given to them today, through the hard work of our ancestors. An accurate example of this is seen in both the gender roles and sexuality in the United States. There are now women running for presidency, and all gender welcoming bathrooms in California.…

In the scientific community, collaboration with others is necessary, and often, they come from an alternate way of life. Working with someone who may be different in many ways has numerous benefits; they may be able to propose ideas that you had not previously considered, or they could inform you of something that has the potential to assist you later in life. Living in a diverse setting not only an educational benefit, but it also aids in the preparation for the real world. Ruth Macklin believes that the cultural diversity we have in America creates problems for both physicians and patients. I consider the abundance of cultural diversity to be a challenge, and the physicians and patients need to both learn to clearly communicate their stances and reach a solution. As physicians, it is their duty to listen to the patient and demonstrate sensitivity to their situation, a different background should not step in the way of that. There are many cases of multiculturism being present in healthcare that have solutions. I will be discussing how Voodoo, Judaism, Female Genital Mutilation and the Santeria’s practices with mercury are all apart of multiculturism, the difficulties they pose in today’s society, and Ruth Macklin’s perspective on how we can go about handling these challenges.…

The United States was founded upon the principle of democracy. In fact, the binding behind all aspects of American government is an important document known as the Constitution of the United States of America that states all policies and principles necessary in order to structure a democratic governmental system. Democracy can be summed up by one important phrase present in the United States Constitution: “We the people…” and when the people change, political structure and policy must adjust to meet the needs of an increasingly diversified population (“The Constitution of the United States” 3). One state which exemplifies a rapid diversifying of a population is the southern states of Texas. Texas has long since been a state known for its diversity,…

The debate, “Does America Cherish Diversity?” has a great popularity, and has brought a great deal of unique opinions. Patel believes that America cherishes it’s diversity, and McGregor does not think America cherishes it’s diversity. Our class overall believed that America does cherish it’s diversity, but I'm writing this to tell you my opinion not theirs. My opinion on the matter is that America does not cherish it’s diversity, and they should not have to, but they should respect other’s diversity, and others should respect their diversity from them. There are many reasons I believe America does not cherish diversity.…

How can our government be benign if we depend from it as much as it depends from us, the citizens? I don’t think it would be a good idea to aggravate the general population that in a way has much more power than the government it self. I feel like if there would be a day were the government would take advantage of its people, then that would be the day when the people of this country would stand against its government. In any matters where the people feel aggravated by its government am pretty sure the people will have a solution, and if that solution is to overwrite the way our government works then we shall do it. But talking about how or government treats us is very pleasant compared to other countries that only utilize they’re citizens to exploited them in hard labor…
