Diversity In Sports: Zach Leatherman

The world is a very diverse place, even in sports we can find much diversity. Sports diversity often shows as a different opinion in which sport is preferred, usually based upon where the individual grew up. People from the U.S. like our full contact football, where people from Europe like Soccer, or to them, Football. In order to confirm this hypothesis, several people were interviewed. The very first person to be interviewed is one Zach Leatherman. When questioned about what sports he liked, he answered Football easily, when asked whether he meant U.S. Football or European Football he laughed and said “you mean soccer?”. It was then explained they called it Football and he only laughed about “how much better ours is than theirs”. Zach Leatherman was a young man, aged around 15 or 16. He was fairly fit with no obvious e health issues. He was questioned about what sports he played and he responded that football and wrestling were the only two sports he participated in. After some small talk she was questioned about whether she liked sports at all, she replied that she did not however she had grown up in a house dedicated to “Manchester United”. When questioned what this was she expressed surprise at the question and answered that it was a major soccer team. It was then asked whether or not other teams or sports was popular to which she replied that it was “the only sport and team worth giving a **** about, at least according to my dad”.
