Define: Diversity
United States is much move diversity then it was 10 to 20 years ago, which is leading classrooms to be more diversity. Teachers are learning how to understanding and help improve the learning for all students. The dictionary define diversity as difference, but it is much more than one’s national origin, color, culture, religion, socioeconomic stratums, sexual orientation, gender. It also include the differences that lays “below the surface”, things like unconscious biases and belief (Woolfolk, 2013).
How this concept shaped my personal experience as a student and a teacher.

Using Literature circle with the different learning styles, Visual, Auditory and Kinesthetic, They can be very creative, using stories, pictures, are words. It could help them to collaboration to redesign and add onto their understanding as they build sense with other readers (Falter Thomas, A. ,2014).
Analyzing text-to-self are personal connections that a reader makes between their reading material and their own experiences or life. Analyzing text-to-self would be a good tool to use with students of difference culture/ethnicity would be a great way for others to learn about each other culture and how they perceive their life (McCOWN, M. A., & THOMASON, G. B. , 2014).
Questioning the author, is where the student makes up question about the content of what they are reading. Using this with the different gender could allow for and encourage the students to think out of the box and to consider the author's reasons for the selection. It will also help with their success at communicating it. Using gender with questioning the author could help girls because a more critical thinker and boys would be able learn other ways to communicate (Sencibaugh, J. M & Sencibaugh, A. M.
