When I tried to discuss the lack of diversity in movies with some theatre classmates, I was shocked by how few of them had any idea what I was trying to say. Most of the students in that class intend to be entertainers; how could so many of them not be cognizant of that issue? Therefore, I would want to explore the topic of representation in popular media.
