We decided to do our diversity project on the role of women in the workplace. From our topic, we learned about Christina Hoff Sommers and Hanna Rosin. Sommers and Rosin, both are feminist that don’t believe in gender wage gap. Also, we learned about other inequalities women face in the workplace. Stereotypical views regarding gender cause discrimination in workplace. We also learned about what society think women should do. For example, stay home and cook while also taking care of kids. Women with jobs were often given low paying and clerical and administrative jobs instead of having a career based job. Women who go against norms were seen as violating rules in the society as a woman. Women are known to be like men but just cheaper. Today,
