Diversity In America

Everyone on this planet is equal and perfectly different. We are young and grown-up, tall and short, dark and fair-skinned. We are those who make our planet look the way it does now. Why have I started with these lines? I believe in this idea: that everybody can live equally in this life; and have a dream to influence others to believe the same thing. There are so many characteristics that make the USA a completely different world, where I have been lucky to get into, but the main difference is in the thing that makes a country a country – the people. There would certainly be no cities, no communication, no culture, and no spirit without people. Respect and tolerance are in American air everywhere: people are smiling on the streets, they are ready to help you, even they haven’t ever met you before. There is no discrimination here and I am amazed by that. Every personality can be himself / herself and does not have to conform to other people in fear that someone may harm him / her. Each nation and each country has its traditions, national clothes, and cuisine. Here in the U.S., millions of people having different roots and nationalities are creating one big and bright culture of America where everything is mixed. As a great example, I have relationships of my host-sister. Her best friend is from Syria and she is Muslim, but it didn’t stop their friendship, they share cultures with each other, communicate and, of course, develop their personalities. For me, America is a rainbow, in which thousands of colors are joined together and brings joy to others.
