Diversity Course Analysis

Before I decided to take this course, I had my own perception of diversity. I always thought that diversity refers to the differences in cultures, traditions and languages within a multicultural society. The book refers to diversity as “all the ways in which people are different” (Bucher, 2015, p. 2). Through this course I have learned that diversity could be also within a society with people of the same nationality. My perceptions of diversity has changed a lot during this course because now I know that diversity also refers to social class, gender, sexual orientation, race, language and abilities. We have to respect people doesn’t matter how they look or what language they speak. People have to be treated as a human being and we have to respect
