I am fully understand and really want to help, but I cannot asked for any changes without having specific alternative dates. We cannot schedule any more hearings in November (between 9-18), because the other side or the arbitrator have other obligations. As mentioned before, if you want me to ask the other side to reschedule more hearings (or the arbitrator in case they refuse) we must suggest alternative dates for additional 11 hearings. This means that you will need to be here for 3-4 weeks, from January 18 until February 9 at least (excluding travel) – Is it ok?…

Today I will be sharing with you my thoughts on the famous MLK Jr. quote “ I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.” I will also be telling you how this quote has changed the way we look at race so much in the past century. This dream that MLK Jr. had was so idealistic and revolutionary that it helped change the way that many people look at race in the world today. He helped sway the minds of millions to act and get rid of racism in America with simple but meaningful words to guide them on this amazing journey to freedom.…

For my midterm speech, I plan to argue my stance on racism, more specifically how I believe some of the black culture may unintentionally perpetuate racial inequality. The solution I will propose to this solution is not making the assumption that all blacks want to be associated with these racial stereotypes. I also want to propose the idea that blacks are guilty for these social norms, as are other races. This solution will hopefully lead towards acceptance on all sides of the racial spectrum. I am very interested in this topic because I believe it is one of the biggest issues we face in our society today and is addressed through many different sources.…

Diversity Interview I completed this interview with an old friend, Darian, she is African American and her prefered sexual orientation is female. I have never really given much thought on how different we are, and still believe we are more alike than different. But we do have some rather large things that distinguish the two of us from each other. The major ‘skin deep’ things being she has a girlfriend and is African American.…

Her dad had left the family for another when she just turned thirteen, she already had a job at age twelve, and she took two buses to get to school every day.…

The Black Lives Matter movement is more than a call to action for police brutality, it’s a call for justice to stop the racial inequality that can still be seen today. It all started in 2013 when three women, Patrisse Cullors, Opal Tometi, and Alicia Garza, created the hashtag #blacklivesmatter after Trayvon Martin was placed on trial for his own murder while George Zimmerman, the man who killed him, was not held accountable (Black Lives). The movement grew even larger in 2014 after Michael Brown, a black, unarmed…
