If you like thrilling and exciting books this book is the one for you. This book was very fun to read. I guarantee if you read this book you will get hooked on the first page.
Divergent book was written by a gifted young lady named Veronica Roth. The genre of this book is Utopian and dystopian
Trish is a very strong and brave sixteen- year old that was originally born in abnegation. She is a divergent which means she does not fit in any of the factions. Trish is a dynamic character because in the beginning of the story she let fear get to her but in the end she learned to fight and conquer it.

Jeanine Matthews thinks divergents are a threat to the society since a divergent doesn't fit in any of the factions she created. She tries to kill Trish when she finds out she is a divergent.

When Jeanine finds out she attempts to kill her since she is considered a threat to the factions.
The author wrote this book because she wanted the reader to know it is a good thing to be different and unique from other people. I know this because there was only two divergent in the entire story and being a divergent is being different but it is not a bad thing.
On page 450 Trish says ‘’ Of all the pain I have suffered today-the pain of getting shot and almost drowning and talking out the bullet again,’’. The life lessons in this book is the fastest way to lose is quit because Trish could have easily quit and die but she did not give up and had hope she would survive. One of the main themes in this book is fear because she couldn't have survived if she havnt conquered her fears.
The society is divided into 5 factions. The Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), Erudite (the intelligent), Abnegation (the selfless), and Candor (the honest). Every person falls into these factions except for Divergents such as Trish.
Something I did not like from the book was some parts of the book was boring since the story moved

The book the places that scare you by Pema Chodron was very interesting. The title itself Caught my attention right away, but what really got me to read this book is that the author is a Buddhist nun, so she will not talk about religion or tell you what is right or what wrong. Before I read this book I thought the book was going to be about metal disorders only because of the title. I was completely wrong, this book is for all types of people who desire to face our fears in life with an open heart.…

In the novel, The Great Gatsby, by F, Scott Fitzgerald, the false love the characters fill their lives with does not lead to the happiness they are looking for. Some characters look to fulfill themselves through an egotistical longing they mistakenly call love. Others try to share their marital love with more than one person leaving them unable to fully give of themselves to their spouse. All of the lies told about love leads everyone away from happiness and joy which people were intended for and towards sorrow and despair. The novel is ultimately a quest for happiness, and joy; a longing which is never fulfilled.…

Tris is different to others so is treated differently by the higher government. At first she is not aware how she is different and what it is that separates her from others. She soon realises that she is a threat to the society and can break the whole dystopian structure. However the author makes a very good case for Tris’ point of view and although it would seem like she is the villain, those against her seem better suited to that role. Also, throughout the story, it is very easy to visualise the scenes in the book due to very detailed and accurate descriptions.…
