Response:
Peeta is a very similar character in Hunger Games as Harry Potter is in Harry Potter. They both are very selfless in their actions. For example, Peeta wants to save Mr. Nice Guy’s life as much as she wants to save Katniss’. With Peeta putting her friends as her top priority, like Harry, she ends up causing herself harm while trying to protect her friends and keep them out of harms way. An example for Harry would be when he insists in saving Draco and it turns out to give nothing but positives.

To Kill a Mockingbird and Inherit the Wind are two vastly different forms of literature, focusing on different topics, characters, and morals. Yet there is a similar theme within these stories that they share. Through various characters and traits, Jerome Lawrence, Robert E. My favorite line in the book “The Things They Carried” was located in the final story “The Lives of the Dead”. “I’m young and happy. I’ll never die. I’m skimming across the surface of my own history, moving fast, riding the melt beneath the blades, doing loops and spins, and when I take a high leap into the dark and come down thirty years later, I realize it is as Tim trying to save Timmy ’s life with a story.…

The one thing I hate more than people rating/reviewing books before they have read them, is when people hate on authors for writing in the same universe. Ever since it was announce that Cassandra Clare would be writing more series in the shadowhunter universe (The Dark Artifices and The Last Hours) people have gone mental. I have seen so hate towards her on goodreads and such, that she should not be writing more books in this world – that she is only doing it for the money. As a writer and reader this makes my blood boil.…

A movie adaptation is the transformation of a work or story in whole or part into a feed movie. The graphic novel Coraline is an adventure story written by Neil Gaiman and was later adapted into a movie directed by Henry Selick. Even though most movies are made from the basis of the original novel, the remodeling of the novel Coraline was paradoxical in how they used the “Hero’s Cycle” to convey a different meanings to the target audience. The mentors in the Coraline graphic novel was portrayed significantly differently in the adaptation of the graphic novel. To Kill A Mockingbird Essay Ursula K.Le Guin once said “There's a point, around the age of twenty, when you have to choose whether to be like everybody else the rest of your life, or to make a virtue of your peculiarities.” That point being, coming of age, Harper Lee uses coming of age in the town of Maycomb through Jem and Scout. In To Kill A Mockingbird, Harper Lee uses Jem and Scout’s coming of age to convey to her 1960s readers that even the young and innocent have the potential to do and be good contrary to the popular belief in a community, and can be equal with people even though they weren't taught to be. There are many stages in the process of coming of age people must endure before being completely grown up and knowing all that's right and wrong. Harper lee wants us to learn through Jem’s coming of age how that , even when grown up that people can still learn how to change and other people can help people learn how to change.…

Time and time again people come to the common question of, “Movies vs. books?” Many movies follow their books word for word whether its character development or plot development, whereas other movies change and twist the book’s stories in unimaginable ways, yet people are still faced with the question, “Movies or books?” An example of how books and movies can differ is in the story “The Outsiders” written by S. E. Hinton and produced by Francis Coppola. Although there are many similarities that both the book, The Outsiders, and the movie share, there were many noticeable differences in the appearance and personalities of all the characters. The novel “The Help” written by Kathryn Stockett and film “The Help” directed by Tate Taylor had many differences some were noticeable while others were insignificant. I believe that in order for the director to achieve variation there were changes made to hold the audience’s attention. The director’s intention was to create a well-illustrated movie that was not identical to the novel, but also not completely separate from the novel. It was important that certain scenes be changed that he may have felt would go unnoticed such as location, a description or time. I loved the book written by Kathryn Stockett it was much better than the film directed by Tate Taylor, as it allowed me to visualize and imagine each portion of the story being told.…
