The society in Divergent can be easily persuaded as well as rebels can get people to follow them and fight against the leaders of the city. Four and Tris are successful and defeat Jeanine, even though the odds were against them, but once the truth was uncovered, the people realized what was really going on in the world that they live in. On the other hand, in 1984, the parols and the Party members seem to be more brainwashed by what the Party is putting out in the society. They worship Big Brother and find no reason to rebel and if someone were to speak out against the Party, they would be vaporized and that would be the end of that. The world that the parols live in in 1984, there is no room for thought or any type of real personality or creativity, where at least in Divergent, the people of Chicago are still allowed to think the way they want and express themselves the way that they want to as
