Distracted Driving

Driving is an action that requires drivers to distribute their attention because it is a varied and complex action. It requires full concentration in order to stay safe on the road. A driver loses focus on the road when that person pays more attention to other objects or people. Various new technologies inside the vehicle are the most attractive objects that keep the driver’s eye off the road. Driver distraction is the major reason for car crashes, and it kills many people. The common perspective distraction is that drivers perform more than one thing at a time, driving and completing other activities. Conversations with the passengers could even lead the driver to a stressful situation that affects to driving behavior. When that kind of driver can no longer control his or her driving performance, that person also puts others at a serious risk. Losing control, the drivers would fail to give proper signals, miss road signs, change land abruptly of respond slowly to hazards. Those mistakes are extremely dangerous to everyone else on the road, including other drivers, pedestrians and animal (Regan, Lee, and Young 140). The most common factor of car crash caused by a driver's distraction, which could change his or her behavior is cell phone use. However, Inattention driving is the fact that put the driver's life into dangerous situations. Some people who disagree, saying cell phone use behind the wheel is riskier than inattention driving. That statement is wrong! The drivers who try to perform multiple actions when driving easily distract their eye off the road. A less concentrate on driving performance normally eat, looking at the map or reaching for items while driving. Most of a car crash happening from that kind of driver and it is seriously affecting other road user safety ("Distracted Driving"). Billboard is another significant item that could attract the driver. If the billboard has the special design on it, it would capture the driver very easy. Once the driver lost focus on the road accident always follow up. Those advertising industries should limit their design and keep it very simple because they could cause a higher risk of life-threatening behind the wheel as much as cell phone distraction (Wachtel
