All the while a driver who wasn’t distracted, has priority, and doesn’t have a stop sign is going at 30mph. I think you get the picture now. Distracted driving is a very destructive thing and can kill and/or severely injure someone. It is a sad and frustrating matter these days, but at the end of the day it all comes down to the instructor (if the driver is learning) and the driver (young or not). The state is doing all that it ethically can to stop distracted driving but it is the people's choice on whether they continue or stop this. No matter how good you think you are at multi tasking you really shouldn’t do it while driving. “The magazine tested how long it would take to hit the brakes when sober, when legally impaired at a BAC level of .08, when reading an e-mail and when sending a text. Sober, focused drivers took an average of 0.54 seconds to brake. For legally drunk drivers four feet needed to be added.
