Distracted Driving Research Paper

According to Edgar Snyder, 21 percent of teen drivers who died in car accidents were distracted by their phones. Teen drivers often become distracted because they are texting ,or they are on social media. Most teens are oblivious to the fact that taking your eyes off of the road for two seconds could end lives. Distracted teen drivers do not think about the consequences that could happen when they partake in reckless driving. A nineteen year old girl named Heather was this type of diver. Unfortunately, her trivial text message that could have waited until she got home led to her fatal car accident.

Teenagers will realize that they text and drive, and how Heather’s unsuspected death could happen to them as well. However, the audience should be everyone who decides to be distracted while driving. It is not only teenagers who text and drive. There are adults who have taken phone calls, answered emails, ate food, or done their makeup while driving.
