After reading the article of the statistics of driving a couple of things stood out to me on the teenagers part. Although it does not say anything about texting and having phones I wouldthink that Running of the road, Failing to keep in proper lane and driver distraction is all part of texting and driving or just messing around on their phone. It surprises me that only 9% of crashes in teenagers is distracted driving, I would think it would be higher because everyone these days has phones and is on them close to all the time. It is sad that the highest accounts of death come from running of the road. This can be caused by close to anything, Phones, Wildlife,and other drivers on the road. When I have been driving on the highway I always see peoplespeeding, that’s why is does not surprise me that the leading cause of death on the highway is driving too fast. The leading cause of death for teenagers in running of the road. Also in the causes of death are speeding to fast, Failing to keep in proper lane, overcorrecting, and ditracted driving. To me I think running off road, staying in proper lane are all kind of part of distracted driving. Most people don’t run of the road when they are paying attention to it. Texingand driving or doing anyting that takes your eyes off the road can all be as dangrous as driving under the …show more content…
