Distracted By Social Media

I think that Social Media is a distraction because, students are heavily involved in social media; causing a lot of attention problems. Also the brightness of the phone while the sound of a chime goes off from a text or notification can be a problem while you sleep. Students can lose a lot of sleep due to sleeping with the phone next to them, because once the phone lights up or bings, they will want to get up and check it.

Students that are heavily involved in social media have "continuous partial attention", which means their ability to pay attention to one person or thing is nearly impossible. online assignments don't always help, because kids will still on sites like Facebook or twitter during work time. Students will or can lose a lot of sleep due to sleeping with the phone next to them, because once the phone lights up or bings, they will want to get up and check it.

Principals, teachers and school librarians from grades K-12, are starting to assign homework assignments online. By using the electronics at school your able to connect to the internet, which will allow kids to go on sites like Facebook, Twitter and Snapchat. Sometimes

Parents may devote more time to their phones, then their children causing misbehavior problems due to the lack of attention. Some families are on their electronics during a meal, and that can cause the family being distant from each other. By putting your phone in the middle of the table will help greatly, so your more opened to a conversation. Also it can cause a lot of family problems. Many believe that social media or phones can bring people together, but when in reality it doesn't it pulls them apart. When your family are sitting down for dinner and they don't put their phones in the middle of the table that may cause them not be opened for a conversation. That is an example of social media and phones being more a bad service then a good service for all
