In comparison with other kinds of evidences, such as trace, fire arm, objects involved in the crime, fingerprint is the most crucial evidence due to its uniqueness. Each individual who live on this planet has a distinctive fingerprint pattern, which only exist on his/her fingertip. There are 3 types of fingerprint patterns. First is loop prints, which are print that recurve back to themselves to form a loop shape. The second type is whorl prints, which are prints that form a spiral pattern. The last one is arch pattern, which are like wave patterns. According to statistic, 60% of the population possesses the loop fingerprint pattern, 35% of population possesses whorl pattern, and the remaining 5% of the population possesses arch pattern (Ref.3).
