There’s much you can learn through reading about different psychological disorders and concepts. The book “First Person Plural: My Life as a Multiple” by Cameron West specifically explains the life of Cameron West living with Dissociative Identity Disorder. I chose this book because of my uncertainty and intrigue about DID and the everyday struggles of multiples. Because this book is based on the actual accounts of Cameron West, I felt I got a better understanding of DID and could really get a feel for the thoughts and feelings of this man through his journey of dealing and coming to terms with his disorder. At the end of the book, I had gone through a whirlwind of emotions from sadness because of Cams past to have developed DID to utter joy that he learned how to accept it and lived a happier life.…

When a different identity takes over, they then have an inability to remember important personal information that is associated with previous identities. The information is often too important to be dismissed as ordinary forgetfulness. The separate identities that are involved in this disorder and the physical changes that accompany it could certainly be confused with the abrupt change in personality that is often manifested by those who appear to be victims of true demonic possession. The resemblance between the characteristics of dissociative identity disorder and demonic possession is rather striking. When a demon takes possession of an individual it has a purpose, their own set of beliefs, and different attitudes and mannerisms.…

Diagnosed by his doctor, it was discovered that he had twenty-three distinct personalities, but, there is a suppressed twenty-forth personality and “The Beast” caused havoc when he surfaced.
