With six classes totaling 100 hundred students, it seems like a daunting task, but as I continue on my path of becoming an effective educator, expectations for “R” and me continue to grow. In the past, “R” was always willing to assist me by rearranging equipment for the next class. When correction for inappropriate behavior occurred privately, the meetings would involve an explanation of rule breakage, followed by privileges lost, which “R” was respectful and understood why .Glasser’s Seven-step method in correcting “R’s” behavior seemed to be what was occurring, but on a smaller scale. This relationship based management as noted by Tran (2016) guides the student through discussions, reminders, praises, and rewards. Thus, the implementation of the behavior contract and plan would take place with the goal of surpassing the discussion and reminder part of this relationship based management system because through my experience, children like “R” tend not to receive praise or rewards
