Disruption: More Endangered, Yet Alone

Imagine that it’s finally the day when you get to hang out with your sister at the mall! So far, you guys are having a good time but during the trip, you notice that most of the time she's upset and moody. You question her what's wrong but she just ignores you and asks for your phone and notices how she keeps going on the internet. You then notice how her behavior has changed and she isn't in a close relationship with your family nor her friends. I think teens should be limited online because teens who spend too much time online develop behavior changes, lifestyle changes, including their relationship with family and friends that can cause problems in their life. Teens spend so much time on the internet that not only they lose connection and closeness with their family and friends, but they miss out on the special time they could have spend together. In the article, “Disruption: More Connected, Yet Alone”, describes a video shown of an dystopian world where not only teens but, also adults are always on their phones. The actress in the video, Ms. deGuzmen, explains in an interview, “I came up with the idea for the video when I started to realize how ridiculous we are all being, myself included, when I was at a concert and people around me were recording the show with their phones, not actually watching the concert,” she describes how teens and adults are with their family or friends at a concert or spending time together, but they are on the internet ignoring them that they consider them to be rude and wasting their time since they rather be on the internet than spending time with their friends or family. Teens become less and less detach from their family and friends that it drives them to spend more time on the internet which leads them to meet cyber bullies, sexual predators and other people who have bad influence on
