Disrespecting Or Destroying Our Flag

Decent Essays
My thoughts about the United States of America flag and how Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps affected my beliefs on it. A lot of actions are going on that involve disrespecting or destroying our flag but by our own amendment allows it. This should not be going on but by law we can't stop just like we can't force someone to believe in something they don't. It is their own decision to do that cause they don't think what the United States is doing is right. We need to do something about this our flag respect our freedom and what our boys in green do for us.

It is our history it is not something that should be forgotten and left out in the trash. They are destroying the one thing they are using to destroy our flag their own freedom. Without us respecting our own soldiers then why are they fighting for us and our freedoms. If Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps taught me anything it is respect our freedoms, our flag, and our soldiers. Most of the people who is disrespecting or destroying our flag truly don’t know what our flag means or do they care. They only thing the know is the it is every disrespectful so the do it because they think destroying our flag and rioting will change anything in the past it has but now we have ways to change thing we don’t like about our country terrorist acts will not doing anything.

Whether it's passing by homes that are proudly flying the flag on the front porch, going to the beach, or seeing it on clothes and stickers placed on cars. I often wonder if these people know what it represents. If so, why would they bluntly display such a controversial symbol? Due to this controversy, coupled that with the recent police shootings of unarmed African-Americans, and the rising attention on racism in America, last school term my English teacher assigned small…

In the law case Texas vs Johnson, Johnson burnt an American in protest of a potential nuclear war and should have been placed in jail. There are several reasons why he should have gone even though the court didn’t aprove because he was “protected” by the second amendment. The American flag is a symbol of our nation and should be respected. If a non-American would have done this, they would have been thrown in jail. Due to public endangerment, disrespect and improper acknowledgement, he should have been thrown in jail.…

Did that really happen? NFL players are disrespecting the American Flag. That action is not right; just because President Trump made a wrong decision that doesn't mean that now NFL players can make their own rules. The NFL players deserve to be punished for their actions. The American flag is the very definition of our country, our 50 united states, red for our valor, white is our purity, and the blue for our vigilance. It should be protected for what it stands for. It may be controversial due to the 1st Amendment and it’s freedom of speech, but I believe it gone through too much to be treated in such a way,…

I know that the confederate flag was a nation known flag that was flown back during the civil war. It was a battle flag and had 7 stars for all the confederate states that believed in the sacrifice there men gave for others’ lives and freedom and I also believe that the flag was taken away from others believing that it is meant for racism cause it was frown during the racist times in America with blacks getting more freedom. Yes I can understand why others want it down cause of a racial way but it wasn’t for that reason others flung it for the reason of their southern pride and the glory and remembrance of the confederate soldiers…

Desecration of the United States Flag The United States Flag means so many things to so many people. It represents who we are; one nation under god, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Since 1775, it has been protected by American soldiers who have given their lives to protect our way of life and our personal liberties that we all have grown accustomed to. For many people the desecration of the American flag is the same as a slap in the face. If our Nations flag is a symbol of freedom then we must protect it, even if it is from Americans.…
