The involvement of the American and British soldiers the education sector is improving almost all sectors in Afghanistan. For instance, by 2006 around 4 million learners were registered in learning institutions although the gender disparity is evident (Mulligan 14). As well, the mortality rate has lessened by 26% since 2003; additionally, about 85% of the state’s population now has access to adequate and quality care.
