It is often heard echoing down the class hallways before exams with glorified voices, “I stayed up all night studying for the test” It makes the teachers chuckle, not because students deserve praise, but how detrimental it is to one. This meme lines up with that train of thought, it depicts a college aged female studying from an open book, surrounded by darkness with a grim smirk on her face, in the midst of twenty-one-ish other books in various school subjects, the meme contains text that says “PULLS ALL NIGHTER STUDYING…FAILS EXAM” It is a very relatable illustration for college students and one should realize how disparaging pulling all-nighter study sessions for exams is for one’s health, grades, and productivity
It is satirical by what method people will skimp out on their mind and figures in times of stress, an example is the college student who has an exam the succeeding day. Studies prove “Your mind 's effectiveness, including your attention span, information recall and reasoning skills, is significantly decreased when deprived of sleep.” (Huffington Post) this

Researchers studied the GPA’s of a 111 students along with their sleep patterns, to come to one conclusion that “Pulling all-nighters compromises your sleep overall" and makes it difficult to reach full academic potential.” (Science Daily) It is important to understand how health (from lack of sleep) and academic grades remain correlated. Moving forward, one should strive to complete assignments and studying ahead of time, waive procrastination, and go to bed earlier with the intention of waking up earlier. It is recommended by experts that an average adult would need roughly seven to eight hours of sleep a night for optimal performance in spaces of the magnificent brain, this ‘optimal performance’ can be discovered in stressful times such as test taking and may facilitate better
