Evaluation - Beneath The Surface
My chosen theme for ‘Beneath The Surface’ revolved around Disney, in particular the movies and stories. The majority of Disney movies are based on other stories that are R rated and twisted. Personally I’ve been brought up with Disney movies my entire life so I felt comfortable choosing this topic since I was highly knowledgable of certain characters and their true back stories which they were based upon.
For this project I really wanted to illustrate and present the True natures of each disney character and show how different they are from the child friendly characters we see today.
When it comes to CAD (computer aided design) and illustrations I know its my strong point, so I felt self-assured that will do my work justice. …show more content…
Finding out each original backstory was vital to my project and outcome because the key moments in those stories was what I was going to Illustrate. Once I had done my background research, i had to understand how to draw each character if i wanted to begin illustrating them In Adobe illustrator or with a Wacom in Adobe Photoshop. After i had drawn pencil sketches of the chosen Disney characters in their desired positions, I scanned them in and used them as an outline in Adobe photoshop. Whilst i drew and coloured in the illustrations i recorded the whole process to create individual time lapses for each
