From my childhood to now, I have never experienced a day at Disneyland that didn't put enough joy in my heart to far exceed the admission price. Rides, shops, shows, and characters. These are just a few of the many great aspects of this wonderful place. In order to enter Disneyland, you must walk through Main Street. This is a large street, where if you are lucky enough, you can see the exploding fireworks in their waltz of joy that come from the main castle. This is the street where you see all the publicity shops, not only Disney publicity, but others as well such as the well-known restaurant Rainforest, sports shops, Lego World, …show more content…
The cries of joy and sounds of machines buzzing never seem to stop. Even thought there is lots of waiting with endless long line, laughter is always in the air. As you reach the end of the street, you see a statue, made of gray, sort of metal, of Walt Disney himself holding Mickey Mouse’s hand. This statue is beautifully surrounded by a colorful blanket of flowers. The first thing you see after Main Street is Fantasyland and in order to walk into Fantasyland, the first thing you see is a castle towering over you. The lower half of the castle is made of gray, pink and blue bricks. The walls of the upper half of the castle are smoothly pink with their blue turrets. This castle is Sleeping Beauty’s castle, the place that brings the wonderful fireworks. When night comes, the castle lights up in melody to a collection of songs of many Disney movies, for the amazing fireworks. Inside the castle there is a walk-through for you to enter the wonders of Fantasyland. You will find that Fantasyland looks like a place where a Renaissance fair would be held. This is the land where the enchantments of Alice in Wonderland, Dumbo, Disney Princesses Fantasy

“Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, it's a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope, and that enables you to laugh at life's realities.” In this quote, Theodore Seuss Geisel, better known as Dr. Seuss, explains that reality and fantasy often share certain characteristics with each other. Both Christina Rossetti and Angela Carter’s fairy tales, “Goblin Market” and “The Tiger’s Bride”, respectively, contain this synthesis of reality and fantasy emphasized by Dr. Seuss. Whereas Orfeo’s orchard is a result of artistry which dominates man and nature, the castle in the fairyworld uses artifice to project a semblance of such control. This artifice is implicit in the enameled works of the fairy castle, which according to many literary sources such as Dante’s Inferno, are ostentatious crafts that are purposely made to deceive and conceal evil. Therefore, the fairy kingdom may look like Paradise, but in reality, it closely resembles Hell. Not only is the architecture of the castle extravagantly deceptive, but so are the king and queen, who’s clothes are so bright and magnificent that they blind the viewer to their…
